As the conversation carried on around me, I asked the Lord what He wanted me to get from Him in that moment, and verse 6 stood out to me.
Romans 5:6 -- For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. (NASB)
We weren't just helpless; we were still helpless, and had been helpless for quite some time.
I thought about that word; still. It's defined as 'in increasing amount or degree." It implies more than what is necessary. When do we often use 'still'? When something is taking too long, right?
Like when I ask my husband, "Allen, are you still in the bathroom?!?"
We were still helpless. Yet, God's timing was just right.
I don't know what your 'still' is today, or this week or this month.
Still frustrated.
Still hurt.
Still lonely.
Still ashamed.
Still confused.
Still angry.
Still bitter.
Still struggling.
Still trying.
Still waiting.
His timing is still perfect.
Psalm 46:10-- Be still, and know that I Am God.
His grace is sufficient.
He is enough.
Isaiah 55:8-9 -- "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,"declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (NIV)
Be blessed this week.

Another Good Word...... And to this I add - in spite of all the world throws at us, we STILL love our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
